Chief Scout Gold Award - 3rd Romsey Scouts
CONGRATULATIONS to the 8 Scouts from 3rd Romsey who were presented with their certificates last week at Thornden School by Scouting Ambassador, James Ketchell. This is an annual event - and all Scouts who have gained their Chief Scout Award Gold in the past year are invited to attend.
It was a Proud evening for parents, grandparents, friends, 3rd Romsey Chairman - and not least the Scout Leader! You were all brilliant, your achievement is fantastic - and never underestimate what you have achieved, and how far you have come since you joined the Troop at 11!
As
for James Ketchell - not sure if he is inspiring, mad or just a man who
knows how to follow his dream! What an interesting talk - and what a
life so far, and more still to come!
Brilliant evening - thank you Hampshire!

More photos of St. George's Parade last Sunday
Assembling outside the Abbey before the service are 21st Romsey Beaver Scouts (Nursling and Rownhams)
A view from the back of the Abbey as the flags are being carried in.
During the service John Stevens and Pete Betteridge formally received their Silver Acorns
Tony Moles also received his Award for merit - we congratulate them all for their outstanding service and commitment to Scouting
Most people managed to get home in the dry after the service, but spare a thought for those who were a little delayed as they had to clear up and so threfore got a little wet.
